Dr. Nicola Abate is board certified by the American Boards of Internal Medicine, a distinguished physician and researcher specializing in endocrine and metabolic diseases including their neurological sequelae. He is currently serving as the Co-Director of Diabetes, Lipids and Endocrinology Clinics at Bay Area Metabolic Health in Baytown, Texas, and Endocrine Consultant at Methodist Hospital at Baytown and Clear Lake. Dr. Abate previously held the position of Professor of Internal Medicine, Charles C. Sprague, MD Distinguished Professor in Internal Medicine, Director of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Director of Stark Diabetes Center at The University of Texas Medical Branch, where he worked from 2008 until May 2019.
